Tsavo East National Park is one of the oldest and largest parks in Kenya. Situated in a semi-arid area previously known as the Taru Desert it opened in April 1948, and is located near the town of Voi in the Taita-Taveta County of the former Coast Province. The park is divided into east and west sections by the A109 road and a railway. Named for the Tsavo River, which flows west to east through the national park, it borders the Chyulu Hills National Park, and the Mkomazi Game Reserve in Tanzania.

1.Camping.
Camping in Tsavo East national park can be done either at the community camping sites or private camping sites. These sites are located in good animal viewing areas and are protected by rangers.
2.Game viewing..
Game viewing in Tsavo east national park is so rewarding due to the rich wildlife variety. Most notable are the big five especially the red –dusty elephants lions, cape buffalos, leopards, and the rhino.
3.Yatta plateau.
This prehistoric lava flow located to the North of Galana River stretches about 300km and is considered one of the oldest lava flows in the world. Visitors can enjoy refreshing a scenery accompanied by the history of this formation.
4.Bird watching.
Tsavo East national has over 500 bird species which offers a truly distinctive and unbelievable birding experience. Many of the dry-county specials easily spotted as the vulturine Guineafowl,Ortolan Bunting, Levant Sparrow,SaviÂ’s Warbler, Bat-lik Spine tail, Yellow-throated, Sand grouse, Golden-breasted starling and the Golden Pipit.
Pick up will be at the airport or at your current location where you will be met by your guide who will welcome you and brief you about your safari. After your briefing, you will be driven around Arusha to view the different attractions around the city as you proceed to Tsavo east national park.
Morning game drive:
 After breakfast at your lodge, you will drive out to the wilderness of Tsavo East national park to see the various wildlife and bird species in this national: evening drive.
Evening drive:
Your lunch will be served at your lodge after returning from your morning game drive. You will drive back to the wilderness of Tsavo East national park after lunch to see more wildlife species and explore different habitats around the national park as you enjoy the beautiful sunset. Your dinner and overnight will be at Voi safari lodge.
Another day of exploring Tsavo east national park will begin with breakfast served at your lodge before you head out into the savannah of the national park in search of the various wildlife species which include elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, buffalos, impalas, zebras, and different bird species. You will have your lunch as you enjoy views of your surroundings as well as photography moments as you look out for more wildlife species. During your evening game drive, you will be driven around the national park as you catch sightings of wildlife species roaming and grazing in their natural habitat.
On the last day of your safari, you will have breakfast before checking out of your lodge and you will proceed for a brief morning game drive around Tsavo east national park during which you will see a variety of wildlife species since they are very active during the morning and can easily be sighted. Your guide will drive you to Arusha after your morning game drive where you will be dropped off at your preferred location marking the end of your safari.
